I’ll be honest: the main reason I invested is that the founder promised me his private jet once a year. I’m proud to have been the first angel investor in a company that is fundamentally restructuring a massive, broken industry.
The Problem: A Fragmented $185B Market
Every year, $185 billion is spent on private event services in the US alone. Despite this, service providers (venues, photographers, caterers) are forced to use a “Frankenstein’s monster” of tools. They juggle traditional listing portals for leads, separate software for quotes and contracts, and manual processes for payments. This fragmentation leads to high costs, poorly qualified leads, and friction at every step.
The Solution: The SaaS-Enabled Marketplace
Breezit is the “all-in-one” operating system for event professionals. By building a SaaS-enabled marketplace, they offer both customer acquisition and business management in a single flow. This allows providers to stop acting as administrators and focus on their actual craft.
Competitive Landscape: Taking on the Titans
Breezit is entering a space currently dominated by two main competitors: The Knot and WeddingWire. Both are billion-dollar companies that have become the industry standard. However, these incumbents primarily focus on lead generation (often criticized for low-quality leads), leaving a massive opening for a platform like Breezit that handles the entire business lifecycle—from discovery to final payment.
